6.22. Install Grain Band Posts

This sections describes how to plan the installation of grain band posts, and how to install them when you begin
installing plenum sheets.

Install grain band posts at the same time as plenum sheets are installed.

1. Familiarize yourself with the grain band post pattern required for the size of bin you are assembling. (See

Figure 31

).

2. Using plenum sheet locators, position plenum sheets on rafters.

3. Locate the circular row of plenum sheet “notches” as shown in

Figure 32

.

4. Place the grain band posts on top of plenum sheets.

5. Center grain band posts at each level in line with the notches.

6. Bolt the grain band posts to the plenum sheets using the bolts and nuts specified for attaching plenum

sheets to rafters.
