Diesel Gen-set Operation Instructions

2
Blue some-burning of engine oil
Too much engine oil is filled to oil pan and
enters into combustion chamber when
diesel engine operates
Drain surplus engine oil until
level of engine oil in oil pan is
between H and L oil level of
dipstick.
Clearance between piston and cylinder
jacket increases and engine oil enters into
combustion chamber after long period of
low-load (30% or under) operation
Increase loads properly or select
a Gen-set with proper power.
Piston ring is stuck or worn excessively,
and less in elasticity, or engine oil enters
into combustion chamber
Replace piston ring.
3
White smoke-there is water in diesel oil
Unburned fuel mixture is exhausted with
waste gas during initial starting of diesel
engine (especially in water or when
ambient temperature is low)
Normal phenomenon
Cylinder jacket cracks or cylinder head
gasket is damaged, or cooling water enters
into cylinder
Contact with after-sale service
personnel to maintain or replace.
There is water and air in fuel
Replace fuel and add oil-water
separator.
Bleed air in fuel system
according to the method specified
in Chapter 7.
