Remove filter element from air filter and gently pat end face or flush reversely (from
inside to outside) with compressed air to remove dust, as shown in Figure 9-3.

Note: do not damage the filter paper while flushing, wash filter paper with water
or oil, or pat or knock element with force.
5. Cleaning radiator
5.1 External cleaning of radiator
In a dusty environment, blades of radiator would be blocked by dust and debris, etc.,
and then performance of radiator will be influenced further. The common method to
remove these tiny impurities is to spray low-pressure steam flow into it.
The impurities which are difficult to be removed shall be cleaned by adding
detergents in low-pressure hot water hose. If some of the sediments which are
difficult to be removed still cannot be solved by above methods, it is necessary to
remove the removed and immerse into a hot alkaline degreasing solution for about 20
minutes, and then flush it with a hot water pipe.
5.2 Internal cleaning of radiator
The entire system would be blocked by rust scale because of leakage, etc., hard water
in filled water or operation of the Gen-set without anti-rust agent.
