Measurement Principle
The 3-Phase Power Measurement Module uses six A/D converters to capture the
current and voltage values of all 3 phases according to the schematic illustrations
in the section “Schematic Circuit Diagrams.”
The I/O module can measure periodic signals with a fundamental frequency of
45 Hz to 65 Hz with upper harmonic components up to a frequency of 2 kHz (with
65 Hz line frequency).
The connection for each of the voltage and current sensors for the 3 phases to
the measurement channels is a 2-wire connection.
Low-pass filters on the six inputs have a cutoff frequency of about 16 kHz. Each
input signal is quantized with a depth of 24 bits and processed further digitally.
Acquisition and processing of the measured values of all 3 phases is performed
time-synchronously in an identical manner.
