6.2. Recommended Safety Systems
The AT5600 which can generate dangerous voltages during routine production testing.
For optimum safety, ease of use, and test speed, Voltech recommends the use of a
safety light curtain with the AT5600
The safety system is based on the use of an infrared light curtain as a barrier between
the operator and the dangerously high voltages present on the transformer under test.
The light curtain is positioned in front of the AT5600, the light curtain barrier extends well
beyond the width of the tester so that the operator is not impeded when he/she has to
load and unload the transformer under test.
6.2.1. Description of the OMRON Light Curtain
System
Voltech can supply a Safety System which offers an out of the box solution.
No special wiring required.
The safety system is an Omron Safety Light Curtain (100-111), which is CE
approved, making it suitable for use anywhere in the world

6.2.2. Description of the Banner Light Curtain
system
An alternative Safety Light Curtain solution may be purchased direct from Banner
Engineering.
This requires the simple addition of a Voltech Supplied cable (250-030) to the off-
the-shelf Banner solution.
This solution is NOT CE-Marked, so will not be suitable for some countries.
