2. Set switch 2 on DIP switch 2 (S2) to the ON position (Vicoax mode).
3. Set switch 3 on DIP switch 2 (S2) to either position, as it does not affect Vicoax protocol
operation.
4. Set switch 4 on DIP switch 2 (S2) to either position, as it does not affect Vicoax protocol
operation.
NOTE : DIP switches labeled ON or CLOSED and OFF or OPEN have the same meaning.

14. With the Surveyor2000 hanging from the housing, verify that the wiring
resembles the technique of Figure 14a.
WARNING : Cables having excessive slack can cause damage to the
Surveyor2000 when installed into the housing.
15. With the Surveyor2000 oriented as shown in Figure 14b, lift it so that it is flush
with the housing.
16. Turn the Surveyor2000 counterclockwise (looking up) until the arrow on the
Installation Label is aligned with the arrow on the inside of the housing as
shown in Figures 14c and 14d.
17. Push the Surveyor2000 straight up into the housing as shown in Figure 14e.
Verify that the 2 slots on the Surveyor2000 snap into the housing clips. Do not
use excessive force. In the event that it does not snap easily, remove the
Surveyor2000 and verify proper cabling.

Indoor Lower Dome Installation
18. Lift the lower dome up to
the Surveyor2000 and
press in its safety cord
plug into the hole
provided on the inside of
the enclosure to anchor
the lower dome. See
Figure 15.
19. Holding the lower dome,
line up the 2 molded tabs
on the lower dome with
the 2 recesses on the
inner enclosure. There
are only 2 ways to align it.
Push the lower dome up
and verify that it snaps
into place on both sides.
