Nella condizione di "zero automatico", il valore dello
zero viene aggiornato continuamente. Se la
concentrazione effettiva è più bassa del valore zero, il
display indica alcuni caratteri "<", ognuno
corrispondente a circa 2 ppm al di sotto dello zero
impostato (negativo!!) e lo "0" lampeggia.
La condizione di "zero automatico" (AZ) può essere
utilizzata per azzerare lo strumento. Se non c'è elio,
mettere lo strumento in "zero automatico" ed aspettare
fino a quando sul display non appare alcun carattere
"<" e lo "0" non lampeggia più. In questa condizione lo
strumento rileva meno di 1 ppm di elio ed è così
possibile operare in "zero fisso"premendo nuovamente
il tasto ZERO.
3.3.6 Funzione MODE (misurazione/set point)
Il tasto MODE permette di passare dal modo di
misurazione al modo set point (soglia di allarme) e
viceversa.
Quando, premendo il tasto si porta l'HeliTest nel modo
set point, il visualizzatore mostra il valore impostato
della soglia di allarme (fig. 3-31).

Dopo alcuni istanti viene mostrata l'unità di misura
attualmente impostata (fig. 3-32).

Quando viene rilevata una perdita di entità inferiore al
valore di soglia, il display mostra il valore della perdita
nell'unità di misura selezionata, come avviene nel
modo di misurazione. Quando il valore di soglia viene
oltrepassato, il display mostra il valore di soglia e sono
visualizzati i segnali di allarme visivo LEAK (fig. 3-33) e
sonoro (suono continuo).

Se l'entità della perdita si riduce al di sotto del valore di
soglia, i segnali di allarme visivo e sonoro scompaiono
e il visualizzatore mostra nuovamente il valore della
perdita.
NOTA
Quando l'HeliTest si trova nel modo set point il tasto
AUDIO è disabilitato, pertanto non è possibile attivare o
disattivare il segnale audio. Il segnale sonoro
intermittente con frequenza porporzionale alla
concentrazione di elio rilevata è sempre disabilitato,
mentre il segnale sonoro continuo di allarme è sempre
abilitato.
3.3.7 Funzione CLEANUP
NOTA
Prima di iniziare la sequenza di CLEANUP, allontanare
lo strumento da qualsiasi sorgente di elio.
Se, dopo l’esposizione della sonda ad alta
concentrazione di elio (superiori a 10

ppm), tale
concentrazione all’interno dello strumento rimane
elevata anche allontanandolo dalla sorgente di elio, è
possibile effettuare la “pulizia” dello strumento
attivando la funzione di CLEANUP.
Premendo contemporaneamente i tasti ZERO e
PROBE, la funzione di CLEANUP viene attivata, ed il
display visualizza (fig. 3-34):

Se l'autopulizia ha avuto esito positivo (durata minima
30 secondi), il display visualizza (fig. 3-35):

e poi, automaticamente, l'HeliTest torna al modo di
funzionamento precedente l'attivazione della funzione
CLEANUP.
Se dopo 5 minuti dall'attivazione della funzione di
CLEANUP non è stato raggiunto lo zero, il display
visualizza (fig. 3-36):

NOTA
Questo messaggio rimane visibile per 1 minuto, poi
l'HeliTest si spegne automaticamente.
Se il CLEANUP non è stato completato con successo,
ripetere la procedura di autodiagnosi (paragrafo 3.2.1).
