3.2.3 Gas ballast valve
This product has the gas ballast function as standard. Condensed gas shall be liquefied at the final
stage if intake gas contains moisture. Air or N2 can be introduced to the final stage, in order to prevent
this. This prevents the buildup of fluid the final stage of pump.
In the standard specification, gas ballast port is sealed at factory shipped. Have prepared the following
options as gas ballast gas specification, specify when ordering according to the application. (refer to
Table. 2 Details model list)
Standard: With air filter
Remove the plug, Install the air filter.

(1) Before performing process, pump must be warm-up and degassing
operation (by inlet port at atmospheric pressure) should be performed at
the end before process stop.
An insufficient warm-up at the initial start-up,
and/or insufficient degassing of condensable gas interior of the pump at
the end of process may cause a pump life shortening.
(2) Make sure that condensed gas will not return directly to the pump by
exhaust piping connection like in L-shape at the bending sideway.
If you
are installing a silencer and/or etc, it may cause a damage to the pump by
condensed gas which flow back from the silencer. To prevent this problem
it is recommended to add a discharging mechanism of collected liquid.
(3) Recommended to have a continuous operation without stopping pump.
(4) It may shorten the pump life when the volume of vapor water beyond the
processing capacity of the pump, even using gas ballast.
As a rough indication of pump vapor water venting capacity, use the next
