18.6 Preferences
“Preferences” Toolbar Items
Of the three “Advanced” options, this one is the most benign. “Show SDI
Options” will be required only if you are operating a C2-5200 Universal Scaler
that has SDI capabilities. Similarly, unless you have the companion Audio
Router, you won’t need to enable “Audio Options”. The “Enable Ethernet
Options” checkbox existed on early firmware but has been dropped from current
versions since the Enable Ethernet is assumed when you enter an IP address.
It’s shown only for backwards compatibility.
Finally, unless you are going to be changing Presets often, you don’t need to
select the “Auto Synchronize Presets” option.
The first two items shown above enable menus elsewhere within the
configuration application. Should you find a ‘grayed out’ section elsewhere in the
application, return to this section to see if the appropriate functionality has been
enabled.
