flash and you can then adjust the number visible between the brackets. When
you have finished your adjustment, press the knob again to record the change.
16.4 Lines per Frame

This screen controls the total number of lines of video present in the image and
includes the vertical Sync pulse as well as the active video.
Adjustment is made by rotating the Menu Select knob until the above screen is
visible and then pressing the Menu Select knob. The brackets will flash and you
can make your adjustment as desired. Press the Menu Select knob a second
time to record your new value.

A Video frame includes both the active area (the portion of the image normally
containing useful visual information) as well as the area occupied by the Vertical
and Horizontal synchronizing pulses. A resolution value for a given display
standard only expresses the number of pixels visible in an image. The well
known 800 X 600 computer resolution standard simply means that there are 800
pixels/line visible horizontally and there are 600 pixels/line visible vertically.
The H/V active LCD screen provides a way to change the number of pixels and
lines. When parked on the above screen, press the Menu Select knob and the
brackets surrounding the Horizontal value will begin to flash. Make your
adjustment and press the knob again. The value will be recorded and the flashing
will cease. Rotate the Menu Select knob one detent to the right and press the
knob again. The brackets will be repositioned and you can now adjust the
Vertical value. Press the knob once more to record your new value.
