How to Back Up Your Work

3 Double-click My Computer.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
4 Double-click the drive that contains the file you want to
copy.
Windows 95 displays the contents of the drive.
5 Double-click the folder that contains the file, then click the
file you want to copy.
As in earlier versions of Windows, you can use the
Ctrl
and
Shift
keys to select more than one file.
6 Click File, then click Send To.
7 Click the icon for the diskette drive (drive A).
Windows 95 copies the file(s).
You can also copy a file to diskette by clicking the file (or
files) you want to copy with the secondary button, then point-
ing to Send To and clicking 3.5-inch Floppy (A).
How to Back Up Your Work
Murphy's law applies to everything—even computers. Therefore,
it's a good idea to make a copy of everything on your computer's
hard disk and store it in a safe place. This is called backing up your
files. That way, if you somehow press the
Delete
key accidentally,
you'll be able to recover your files quickly and easily.
