Using a Remote Control Device Interface
Entering a Query Command
To determine the current
TDR7 setting for the audio volume of Channel
A, you must send the query command shown below.
ADA_VOL
ADA
is the command mnemonic that controls the
TDR7 audio decoder
for Channel A.
VOL
is the first–level mnemonic specifying the audio
volume parameter.
Because you didn’t send a second–level mnemonic to direct the
TDR7
to set the audio volume to a specific parameter, the
TDR7 receives the
command as a query and responds by sending the current setting for
the audio volume of Channel A to the RCD, which displays the
information.
The command sequence displays as follows:
>ADA_VOL
ADA_VOL_50
>
Because the VOL first–level mnemonic has a numerical equivalent,
you can also enter the same query command as shown below.
ADA_11
In this case,
ADA
is the command mnemonic that controls the audio
decoder for Channel A, and
11
is the first–level mnemonic specifying
the audio volume parameter. Assuming that the audio volume is set to
50%, the command sequence displays as follows:
>ADA_11
ADA_11_50
>
