Fault Monitoring
Fault Monitoring
The TDR7 micro–controller continually performs real–time
monitoring of system conditions and indicates faults in the
appropriate LED on the control front panel. When the TDR7 detects a
fault, it is stored in the fault history log and, depending upon the type
of fault, may be viewed by accessing the Current function within the
Faults main menu.
This section describes how the TDR7 reports faults and how to use the
Current and History functions to isolate hardware and operational
problems.
Event Time
Tagging
The TDR7 maintains an internal run–time clock, which is
automatically set to time 00:00:00 and day 0 whenever the TDR7 is
powered–up or reset. This clock is used to time–tag faults and other
events to help you monitor system performance and diagnose
problems. The time tag allows you to determine how often a particular
event or fault is occurring and to track the performance of internal
components.
