Configuring the TDR7 with a Remote Control Device

Configuring the

TDR7 to NTL Defaults

Your

TDR7 is configured to DVB default parameters before it is shipped

to you to allow you to quickly establish communications. However, if
your operations require NTL settings, you can easily set the

TDR7 to

NTL default settings.

To restore the TDR7 to NTL default parameters:

At the RCD prompt, type

MC_FLASH_NTL

, then press the

Enter

key.

Keep in mind that when you restore the

TDR7 parameters to NTL

defaults, the demodulator parameters also revert to the NTL defaults.
Unless your incoming signal frequency and polarization, LO frequency,
Viterbi code rate, and transport stream data rate parameters all match
the NTL default settings, you will not be able to achieve demodulator,
decoder, or transport stream lock.

After you have restored the

TDR7 to the NTL defaults, you can

configure the demodulator to the parameters you require, then issue
the

MC_FLASH_SAVE

command. Then, whenever the

TDR7 is

powered on or reset, the unit restores the demodulator to the
parameters you specified, and restores all other parameters to the NTL
defaults.
