Installing the Software Driver
The instrument control software for the Surveyor RI Plus Detector software is not installed
with the ChromQuest data system. Before you install the instrument control software for the
RI detector, you must first install the ChromQuest data system. Refer to the Surveyor RI Plus
Detector CD jewel case for installation instructions.
Configuring the RI Detector in ChromQuest
Y To add the RI detector to the configuration of a Surveyor instrument
1. Do one of the following:
• For ChromQuest, go to step 2 .
• For ChromQuest SI, from the computer desktop, choose Start > All Programs >
Chromatography > ChromQuest SI Config . In the ChromQuest SI Configuration
dialog box, click Instrument Configuration . Then go to step 3 .
2. In the Main Menu window, right-click the icon for your instrument and choose
Configure from the shortcut menu.
The Instrument Configuration dialog box appears. If you are adding the RI detector to an
existing configuration for a Surveyor instrument, Surveyor should already be selected in
the Instrument Type list as shown in
Figure 16 .

3. Click Configure .
The Surveyor dialog box appears.
4. In the Available modules pane, double-click the icon for the Surveyor RI Plus Detector.
The icon moves to the Configured modules pane as shown in Figure 17 .
