Loosening the Transport Screws
To prevent damage that might occur during shipment, the optical block of the detector is
fixed by two transport screws (5 mm bolts). To use the detector, you must loosen the transport
screws with a 5 mm hexagonal wrench.
Y To loosen the transport screws
1. Place the detector on the laboratory bench top.
2. Move the detector to the edge of the laboratory bench top until the screws on the bottom
of the detector are accessible. Be careful to support the detector during this procedure to
prevent it from falling.
3. Using a 5 mm hexagonal wrench, loosen the two transport screws. Do not remove the
screws.
4. Move the detector back to a secure position.

CAUTION Do not place the detector on its side to access the transport screws. Doing
so can damage the optical system.
