3-4 OPERATING THE TESTER
Board Testing
Testing boards requires operator interaction with both the computer and the tester. The
general steps involved in testing boards are:

Loading the fixture and board
•
Logging in as operator
•
Testing boards
•
Analyzing test printout results
Load the Fixture and
Board Load the Board and Fixture for the Z1890, Z1888, Z1884, Z1880, Z1860-NB
MS, Z1860, Z1850, Z1840, Z1820, Z1808, Z1805, Z1803 Plus, Z1800
Refer to the illustration below as you read this procedure.

Place the fixture on the fixture receiver.
Make sure the fixture lines up with the tester guide pins, which in turn align the
fixture to the fixture receiver pins and the
vacuum seal.

Turn on the Vacuum Interface switch to pull the fixture on to the fixture receiver
interface.
For the Z1890, Z1884, Z1880, Z1860-NB MS, Z1860, Z1850, Z1840, Z1808, and
Z1805: press the Vacuum Interface switch.
For the Z1820 and Z1800: turn the vacuum control knob.
3 Connect the vacuum hose(s) to the fixture hose fitting(s).
4 Set the fixture vacuum switches on as required.
5 Carefully load the board, aligning the tooling holes on the board with the tooling pins
on the fixture.
Load the Fixture and Board for the Z1866
1 Place the fixture on the fixture receiver.
Make sure the fixture lines up with the tester guide pins, which in turn align the
fixture to the fixture receiver pins and the vacuum seal.
