2-28 TESTER DESCRIPTION
Rear Panels—Z1820,
Z1800
Z1820 and Z1800 testers have a rear panel on the lower left rear of the tester which
contains the computer input, two circuit breakers, the main AC power input, the start pad
connector, a wrist strap connector, ground stud, the vacuum inlet, and two 120 VAC outlets
which can provide up to 5A. The Z1820 is shown below.

1 Computer Input Connects computer cable to tester.
2 15A Circuit Breaker 15A circuit breaker.
3 Circuit Breaker Cover Circuit breaker cover prevents access to the circuit
breaker not in use.
4 Main AC input Input for AC power cord.
5 Start Pad Connects start pad to tester.
6 Wrist Strap Connects wrist strap or antistatic mats.
7 Gnd Connects to ground.
8 Vacuum Inlet Connects to hose from vacuum source.
9 Unswitched (Unfiltered) Connects peripherals such as the computer or monitor.
10 Unswitched (Filtered) Connects “noisy” peripherals such as the list printer.
