Test Jack Panels Test Jack Panel—Z1890, Z1888, Z1880, Z1808, Z1805, Z1803 Plus
The test jack panel, located on the front panel, contains 10 jacks and 3 LED indicators. The
jacks connect operating and grounding cables and debugging probes to the tester. The
LEDs indicate that certain functions are in use.
WARNING! When the analog debug light is on, lethal voltages may be present on the test jack
panel.
Item # Name Function
1 DUT 5 V Power LED Green LED lights up when DUT 5 V Power is in use.
2 Analog debug Green LED lights up during analog debugging,
indicating possible high voltage on E, F, and G test
jacks.
3 Digital pullups Red LED lights up when built-in termination resistors
are in use.
4 E, F, G Poles
(Tip jacks) E, Es (Esense), F, Fs (Fsense), G, and Gs (Gsense)
monitor signals during program development. The E,
F, and G analog drive and sense buses are routed to
these six jacks during analog debugging. The same
six jacks are connected to the six digital response
buses during digital debugging.
5 Listen window Identifies the measurement interval.
6 Test envelope Identifies time interval when stimuli are applied and
measurements occur during in-circuit test.
7 Wrist strap
(Yellow banana jack) Provides protection against electrostatic discharge.
Connects ESD wrist strap to the ground via a 10 M
Ω
resistor.
8 Node Finder
(Black banana jack) Connects Node Probe to tester ground.
