3-10 OPERATING THE TESTER
Select the Test Program Follow the steps below to select the program.

Choose Select from the Files menu.
A list of available programs appears in the Select window.
2 Select the program to execute.
The selected program name appears at the bottom of the screen, followed by either
ICT to indicate in-circuit test or FST to indicate fixture-self test.
After you select the test program, the program returns you to the Main menu.
Run the Test Program
Follow the steps below to run the program.
1 Select Run from the Main menu.
The testing interface appears on the screen.

Start the test.
Press the Start key (F3), or click Start at the lower right corner of the screen, or use
the table top Start button on the operator control panel.
The Main menu remains on the screen while the program is running. The program
runs until you:
• Press the Escape key
• Press the tabletop Cancel button on the operator control panel
• Press the F4 (Cancel) key on the keyboard
• Use the mouse to click Cancel in the lower right corner of the screen
• Point the mouse cursor anywhere on the main menu bar and click
Screen Messages
The following are examples of messages which may be displayed on
the screen during test execution.
Press S T A R T to test a board.
Testing in progress
Testing Continuities
Testing Shorts
Testing Capacitors
Testing Resistors
Power on
Testing digital devices
Testing COMPLETED—PASSED
The test program automatically releases the board when the test is complete. Tag the board
if it needs repair. Place the next board on the fixture and repeat the test process.
Exit the Main Menu To exit from the Main menu, select Exit from the Files menu. The
program returns you to the DOS prompt.
