8. To increase the width of the main sweep

brush pattern, turn the main sweep brush

down pressure knob counter-clockwise.

To decrease the width of the main sweep

brush pattern, turn the main sweep brush

down pressure knob clockwise.

If the main sweep brush pattern is tapered

more than 15 mm (0.5 in) on one end than

the other, adjustment of the main brush

pattern is necessary.

A. The bearing bracket mounting bolts (3),

adjust the main brush pattern. The bolts

are located behind the main brush, on

the inside of the main brush idler arm.

Removal of the idler arm and main

brush in NOT necessary to adjust the

main brush pattern.

B. Loosen the bolts (shown with idler arm

and main brush removed). Move the

bearing bracket down to increase the

width of the brush pattern on the

right--hand side or up to decrease the

width of the brush pattern on the

right--hand side. Tighten the bolts.

C. Check the main sweep brush pattern

and readjust as necessary.
