limit of range, red = probably outside range. The max-
imum range of the walkie talkie varies considerably ac-
cording to terrain and weather. You can significantly
increase the range if you switch off the display of the
tw700 by briefly pressing the power switch on the side
of the device when you start to use the walkie talkie.

In addition, if group navigation is currently taking place
you will see a red arrow with the distance and estimat-
ed time to reach the target.

The following actions can be carried out in the mem-
ber details screen for someone else:

Hide Avatar

: Choose this if you want to hide

the avatar for this person. This option then
changes to Show Avatar. Hide avatar can be
useful if up-to-date position information is not
available for this person and the last known
position is far away from the other group mem-
bers. This would have an undesired effect on
the feature “zoom and re-centre the map so
that it shows all group members”.

: Choose this if you want to

meet up with this person. See Seek Member,
below, for more details.

Call Member

: Call this person by phone. Note:

The user’s profile must be configured with a
valid mobile phone number for this to work.

: Send an object such

Seek Member

One of the group members wants to meet up with an-
other group member. When you participate in seek
member, your orange cursor is shown surrounded by a
grey circle and a grey & orange arrow is shown to indi-
cate the direction to the target. All of the other group
members will receive a notification of this group activ-
ity in their status bars. In addition, the target avatar is
shown with a chequered stripe on the right side:
