Please contact takwak technical support for help with
your tw700. Visit our web site at

and click Service » Contact for more details. You can
also find for tips on using your device and get the latest
news on our products and software.

We apologize that takwak cannot offer technical sup-
port for third-party apps, including ones which are
bundled with the device. Please contact the respective
developer instead.

If you want to send us feedback on this user manual,
for example with suggestions for improving it, please
send an email to [email protected].

Updating the takwak software

From time to time, takwak releases updates for the
twOutdoor software and the Android™ operating sys-
tem used by the tw700. The update icon

is shown

in the status bar when an update is available.

To get more information and carry out the update,
drag down the status bar from the top of the screen.
You can choose between the following:

►

Yes: Carry out the update now.

►

No: Do not update. You will be reminded again
after 1 day or following a system restart that an
update is available.

►

Cancel: Close the Notifications screen again
without clearing the notification. You can then
update a bit later when it suits you. To start the
update, drag down the status bar and tap on
the update message.

To avoid high mobile data costs, we recommend you
to postpone the update until the tw700 is connected
to the internet via Wi-Fi. In addition, you should only
start the update when the battery is fully charged or
you are connected to the battery charger.

Sending back your device for servicing

For any service or guarantee issues, please visit our web
site where you will find instructions on how to pro-
ceed. If you need to send back the device for service or
repair, please remove the SIM card and SD card before
shipping. In addition, you should backup all of your
personal data. See Backup in the index for information
on backing up your contacts.

If a hardware reset to the tw700 should be necessary,
you can restore takwak maps you have purchased on-
line with the menu item Restore Map Purchases in the
Map Settings menu of takwak Outdoor (see

page 32

).
