Map streaming : If you purchase a topographical map
while travelling, you can access the parts of the map
you need immediately through a mobile data connec-
tion and download the entire map region later, for ex-
ample when you have got a Wi-Fi connection.
To download the map, navigate in Settings to My
Maps Topo, tap on the map you just purchased and
choose Download Map. Alternatively, choose Show
map if you want to look at the purchased map region
in twOutdoor.
Redeem Voucher Your tw700 includes a bonus
voucher which is valid for one map region. See “Bonus
voucher for map region” on page 100.
The bonus voucher included with the tw700 is valid for
one map region from Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
After entering the voucher code, you are shown a list
of map regions which you are able to activate with the
voucher.
This menu item also allows you to enter the code of a
map voucher which you purchased from the Magic-
Maps server. The code is shown in the email you were
sent.
Restore Map Purchase is used to re-load your pur-
chased maps if you have deleted the topo maps on
your SD card or you are using a new SD card.
Display Settings
Show Waypoints
: Uncheck this checkbox to hide all
of your waypoints in Map View. See “Waypoints
View” on page 25.
Check Breadcrumb Trail to leave a series of small
dots on the map screen to show your movements dur-
ing the last 250 m of travel.
Display Off lets you choose between the screen time-
out specified in the Android™ settings (“automatic”)
and keeping the screen permanently illuminated
(“never”), which will drain the battery faster. When
the screen goes dark, this also switches off the GPS re-
ceiver, the bluetooth and the Wi-Fi to conserve battery
power.

The GPS receiver is always kept on if you are re-
cording a track or you are using track navigation, even
if the screen is dark.
Units is used to specify the required units of measure-
ment.
Track Recording Settings
Recording
affects the recording of tracks. You can
choose to record a new track point after a specified
time or distance has elapsed. If you choose Optimised,
twOutdoor will record trackpoints intelligently accord-
ing to changes of direction in the movements. This is
