Third-party apps

You can install apps on the tw700 through the An-
droidPIT App Center, which is already installed on your 
device.

Your tw700 comes pre-installed with the following 
third-party apps:

ES File Explorer

: This is a file manager, file explorer 

and applications manager. It allows you to browse files 
which are stored on the microSD card. To install an An-
droid™ app (APK file) using ES File Explorer, navigate 
to the directory containing the APK file and tap on the 
file name. You can only install free apps in this way.

AndroidPIT

 is a source of third party Android™ apps 

for your tw700. 

Adobe Reader

: Viewer for Adobe Acrobat (PDF) doc-

uments. Supports a wide range of PDF file types (PDF 
forms, password protected PDF documents etc). 

Marine Compass

: Virtual compass in marine look and 

gimbals effect. With the help of the built-in motion 
sensors, the compass display remains horizontal even if 
you tilt the tw700. 

Barometer HD

: This app displays the local barometric 

pressure. It can also show the pressure change as a 
graph. 

Stoppuhr

: Stopwatch and countdown timer which 

displays intermediate times 

We apologize that takwak cannot offer technical sup-
port for third-party apps, including ones which are 
bundled with the tw700. Please contact the respective 
developer instead.

Installing apps from the microSD card

Many developers of Android™ apps allow you to 
download and install them from their own web sites. 
In addition you can download app files (APK files) from 
other sources such as AndroidPit.

As with software for your PC too, please be careful to 
download apps only from legitimate and reliable 
sources.
