Other apps
Your tw700 comes pre-installed with standard An-
droid™ apps and a selection of third-party apps and
tools chosen for you by takwak (see
page 87 ). In addi-
tion, you can run so-called web apps in the mobile
browser (see
page 86 ).
Android™ apps
The following apps are supplied with the Android™
operating system.
Browser
The Browser app is used to surf the web. You can find
a shortcut to this app at the bottom of the home
screen.
To go to a web page, tap in the address field at the top
of the browser window and type in the address (URL).
Then press Go. Use the Back button if you want to
close the on-screen keyboard.
If you access a web site intended for a normal PC, dou-
ble tap on the screen to zoom in so you can read the
text. You can then scroll to the left or right or up and
down. Double tap again to zoom out.
Tap the button to the right of the address field to open
the Bookmarks window, where you can save a book-
mark for the current web page or choose another page
from the bookmark list.
Phone
The Phone app is used to make phone calls. You can
find a shortcut to this app at the bottom of the home
screen.
The Phone tab is used to enter the phone number
manually. To dial international numbers, press and
hold the 0 button to get the + character which pre-
cedes the country code. The Call Log tab lets you view
phone calls which were made or received previously
and dial them again. The Contacts tab lets you choose
a number to dial from your contacts list. The Favorites
tab is a quick way to dial contacts which you have
marked as favorite in the Contacts app.
If you are using the stereo headset to make the call, the
following three functions are provided by the push
button of the in-line microphone:

Long press during the call will terminate the
call.
Contacts
The Contacts app is a convenient place to store phone
numbers, postal and email addresses of people you
want to communicate with. You can access your con-
tacts list from many other apps such as Phone, Email
and Messaging.
