Camera

With the Camera app started and the tw700 in land-
scape mode, the following three large buttons are
shown on the right of the screen:

►

Top: Review the photo or video which you have
taken. The picture or video is shown using the
Gallery app (see below).

►

Middle: Use this slider to switch between photo
mode and video mode.

►

Bottom: Shutter button to take a photo or
shoot a video. In photo mode, press the shutter
until the frame lines at the four corners of the
screen turn green. The picture is taken when
you release the shutter and you can hear a
shutter sound. Alternatively, tap the shutter.
The picture is taken after a short delay for
focussing.

The three small buttons on the right are as follows:

Top: This is used to adjust the resolution of the
camera.

►

Middle: Using the GPS, you can save the loca-
tion where the picture was taken as an invisible
“geotag” in the JPG file. Use this button to
switch photo geotagging on or off.

►

Bottom: Switch flash mode on and off.

The pictures are saved as JPG files and the videos as
3gp files in the DCIM directory of the SD card.

Gallery

The Gallery app is used to view albums of photos and
videos which you have taken with the Camera app or
downloaded from the web or other locations.

The gallery normally starts by showing albums, which
are collections of photos or videos arranged in chron-
ological order. Tap a photo or video to view it.

Press Menu to get options for sharing the photo via e-
mail or messaging, for deleting the photo or editing it.
After a few seconds the buttons disappear. Tap the
photo or press Menu to show the buttons again. The
button at the top right lets you go from the gallery di-
rectly to the Camera app to take more photos.

Messaging (SMS/MMS)

The Messaging app is used to send text messages
(SMS) and multimedia messages (MMS). Each SMS can
contain a maximum of 160 characters. If you type
more than this, your text is automatically split into
blocks of 160 characters which are sent as a group.
Multimedia messages contain text and one or more
multimedia files (pictures, audio files, videos or a slide-
show) and can be much larger in size. In addition, a
MMS can have a Subject line just like an email. When
