In the given example the Event has been started by the PPV of 15.2 mm/s at
6.592 Hz. The PPV value meets the condition of Reduction Factor that has been
set to 0.5 as the value of 15.2 mm/s is at 50% of the L curve height at this point
(the L at 6.59 Hz is around 30.5 mm/s). SVAN 958AG stores the value that
triggered the Event as the Alarm value that can be displayed in +.
According to the
Event Duration
setting, the
Event lasts 4 seconds (stopped at 12:29:48). At
the Stop point the system analyses the 4
seconds of previous data to determine the Event
maximum PPV, which in this example is the
value of 15.2 mm/s at 6.592 Hz at the X axis.

position opens a screen which
allows to configure displaying of measurement
result and screen properties.

Selecting presentation modes
– Display Modes
There are five display modes which you can
enable or disable:
Vibration Curve
,
Velocity
,
Human Vibration
,
Sound
and
Logger
.
The list of display modes depends on the
settings in the
Application
screen.

Vibration Curve mode
The so-called
Vibration Curve
mode displays
two types of PPV results for all three axes in
relation to the criterion curve: PPV results
registered
during
the
measurement
(
Time History
) and PPV results for events
(
Events
).
You can switch between both results types with
the
◄
/
►
key pressed together with
<Alt>
.

Note: When no events were switched on in the Events section, you cannot change Time History to
Events.
Note: Due to computational power limitation, the Vibration Curve display mode is not accessible
when station SV 258 Pro is connected to the modem.
