4.3.8 Configuring events
– Events
SVAN 985AG generates SMS and e-mail notifications as well as visual and audible alarms. In addition to simple
triggers from PPV or LEQ values, you can configure alarms from standard’s criterion curves (e.g. DIN 4150-3)
or user’s criterion curves based on FFT or 1/3 octaves. It is possible to move the criterion curve up or down the
scale so that the alarm is generated earlier or later (
Reduction Factor
parameter). The time and value of the
alarm are saved together in the memory of the instrument.
Five independent Events are associated with alarm conditions and checked simultaneously. Each Event can
generate SMS or/and E-mail Alarms to different recipients.
Triggering an Alarm starts an Event, which length is configurable. After the Event time has elapsed, the
instrument starts analyzing the data and indicates the highest PPV value and its dominant frequency. The time
and value of the data associated with the Event is saved in the instrument’s memory.
Events are stored independently to the time history data and can be presented in
a table as well as on a plot in the form of correlation of PPV and Dominant
Frequency.
PPV results are presented for three axes by different colours: X - red, Y - green,
Z
– blue.
PPV results for all events are presented on the same plot.
The
Events
position opens a screen in which
you can define up to five events, each one by

Address Book
, containing addresses which you
can use for alarms distribution.
