4.3.1.1
Calibration by transducer's sensitivity - By Sensitivity
Calibration by introducing the
transducer’s
(microphone
or
accelerometer)
individual
sensitivity can be performed in the following way:
1. Select the
By Sensitivity
position from the
Calibration x
list and press
<Enter>
.
<ENT>
2.
Set the sensitivity of the transducer with the ◄ / ► key using information taken from its calibration
certificate. The
Calibration Factor
is calculated automatically for each sensitivity change.
3. Press
<Enter>
to confirm the selection. Or press
<ESC>
to return to the
Calibration
list without saving
any changes.
For the Vibration channels, the calibration factor
is calculated in the relation to
10.0mV/ms
-2
.
For the Sound channel, the calibration factor is
calculated in the relation to
50.0mV/Pa
.
4.3.1.2
Calibration with the use of calibrator - By Measurement
To calibrate the instrument with the use of
calibrator:
1. Select the
By Measurement
position from
the
Calibration x
list and press
<Enter>
.
2. Set the
Calibration Level
appropriate to the
used calibrator.
<ENT>
3.
Mount the accelerometer to the vibration calibrator (for example, SV 111) or attach the sound calibrator (for
example, SV 36 or equivalent 114 dB/1000 Hz)
carefully to the microphone.
Note: It is also possible to use an electro-mechanical pistonphone (which generates the signal ca.
124 dB) or different type of Sound
calibrator dedicated for ½” microphones.
4.
Switch on the calibrator (if the used calibrator doesn’t have auto run function)
and wait ca. 30 seconds for its stabilisation.
5. Start the calibration measurement by pressing the
<Start/Stop>
or
<Enter>
key.
The calibration delay time is set to 5 seconds. While waiting for the start of the
measurement the
Delay
is counted down on the display.
During the calibration measurement, the measured level of the measured
calibration signal will be displayed (
Calibration Measure
). The calibration
measurement lasts 5 seconds, stops automatically and the calibration factor is
calculated. The measurement can be always stopped by the
<Start/Stop>
key.
