All models except 2.5-liter Saudi
Arabia/Australia models
Your engine is designed to use only un-
leaded gasoline. The use of unleaded
gasoline with an octane rating of 95 or
higher is recommended. This octane rat-
ing is the Research Octane number.
If unleaded gasoline with an octane rating
of 95 or higher is not available, unleaded
gasoline with an octane rating of 90 or
higher may be used.

els
Your engine is designed to use only un-
leaded gasoline. The use of unleaded
gasoline with an octane rating of 90 or
higher is recommended. This octane rat-
ing is the Research Octane number.

Turbo models
Your engine is designed to provide satis-
factory performance by using unleaded
gasoline with an octane rating 98 or high-
er. This octane rating is the Research Oc-
tane number.
Use of gasoline with an octane rating low-
er than 98 will detract from engine perfor-
mance and driveability.
NOTE
The neck of the fuel filler pipe is de-
signed to accept only an unleaded gas-
oline filler nozzle. Under no circum-
stances should leaded gasoline be
used because it will damage the emis-
sion control system and may impair
driveability and fuel economy. Also,
this can increase maintenance costs.

1. To open the fuel filler lid, pull the lid re-
lease lever up.
Use of a fuel which is low in quality
or use of an inappropriate fuel addi-
tive may cause engine damage.
