Cut a collar from the larger 7/32 in. tube to
5/32 in. long. *
These parts (4) are now
provided pre-cut to 5/32 in. long.

De-burr the collar and slide it on the axle
tube, up against the bend in the wires.
☐
Clean oil from the strut wire and brass, and
solder (or epoxy) the brass tubes in place.
☐
Cut another collar from the larger 7/32 in.
tube to 5/32 in. long. De-burr the collar and
slide it onto the end of the axle tube.
☐
Drill a 1/32 in. or slightly larger hole through
the collar and axle at the same time.
☐
After the wheel is installed, the retaining collar
will be locked in place with one of the hairpin
cotter pins.
