Using Tape Media
Loading Tape Media
To load media into a tape drive installed in the RXT350:
1.
Make sure that the RXT350 is powered on and in ready mode (with no error
codes displayed on the front panel of the tape drive).
2.
Slowly insert the tape into the drive’s mouth and gently push until the drive
takes the tape and the tape quietly snaps into position; do not force it.
Unloading Tape Media
To unload tape media, follow these steps:
1.
Press the eject button on the front of the drive.
The eject process may take between 5 seconds and 30 seconds.
Note:
If a character appears on the tape drive’s front panel display or a
flashing LED indicates drive trouble, refer to
Chapter 10. Tape

Remove the tape from the mouth of the tape drive.
