Users and Passwords
You can log in to use the RXT350 as either an administrator or an operator. Users
cannot be added, changed, renamed, or deleted, but the passwords for each user can
be changed.
User Types
Administrator
The administrator user can control all aspects of the RXT350, including
all configuration, diagnostics, traces, messages, and security functions. By default, the
administrator logs in to use the RXT350 with the user name
administrator
and the
password
rxtadmin
.
Operator
The operator user has limited access to the RXT350. Users with operator
privileges can perform load and unload diagnostics, collect traces and debug files,
view messages, and change the password on the operator’s own user account. By
default, the operator logs in to use the RXT350 with the user name
operator
and no
password.
Changing User Passwords
The administrator has rights to change passwords on either account, and the operator
can change only the operator’s password.
To change passwords for the administrator and operator, follow the steps below.
1.
Select
Maintenance > Diagnostics
; the RXT Diagnostics screen appears.
2.
Select
Password Change
, then select
Run Diagnostic
; the Password Change
Diagnostic screen appears (Figure 3-7).
