Text input
In the procedure for assigning a name to a register (page 9-11), assigning a
name to a file (pages 10-7 and 10-12), assigning a label to a floppy disk
(page 10-7), or assigning a source name to an input signal (page 14-56), the
character input screen shown below appears.

Use the following procedure to input a name. The procedure before and after
this step is described in the relevant section.

Use the cursor movement buttons( M m < , ) to align the cursor with
the desired character.

Press F10 (SELECT).
This enters the character you selected.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 up to a maximum of eight characters.
• To delete the last character entered, press F8 (BACKSPACE).
• To delete all the characters so far entered, press F7 (CLEAR).
You can also enter numeric characters directly, using the numeric keypad
section.
