AV I/O Block error messages
Following is a list of error messages displayed by the
Hardware Properties tool for the AV I/O Block, with
steps to take to deal with the error.

Hardware Status
NG
• Hardware fault, especially in
the internal DC-DC converter
• Power not supplied because
of CPU block fault

Error message/Symptom
Description
Steps to take
ERTG1001:
Component Test Failed
It will fail if a PCI device does not
respond as expected to the
configuration read.
Contact your Sony service representative.
ERTG1002:
Codec 1 Test Failed
It will fail if the compression/
decompression does not complete
successfully on the HUB port 5.
ERTG1003:
Codec 2 Test Failed
It will fail if the compression/
decompression does not complete
successfully on the HUB port 1.
ERTG1004:
Memory Tests Failed
It will fail if the data read from and
written to the memory do not match.
During Output Test 1 or 2, no image is
shown on the monitor.
Monitor or AV Processing Board error
Check that the monitor is connected and
working properly. If the problem persists,
contact your Sony service representative.
