Fibre Channel Storage Unit Maintenance

This section explains how to use the Disk Utility to
maintain the DMW-ST001 Fibre Channel Storage
Unit.
If a logical drive becomes unstable (frequent I/O
errors occur, etc.), you can use the Disk Utility to
replace hard disk drives in the logical drive and to
view logs created during operation by the Storage Unit
and the DMW-STA001 Fibre Channel Interface
Board.
You can also use the Disk Utility to check Fibre
Channel Interface Board information and change
settings.

On how to start the Disk Utility, see page 3-17.

Notes

• To connect the Fibre Channel Storage Unit to the

DMW-S05NL Main Unit, it is required that the
DMW-STA001 or LSI44929o Fibre Channel
Interface Board be installed in the Main Unit.

• With the DMW-S01NL/S02NL, the Disk Utility

cannot be used. Only the SCSI Disk Surveillance
Tool (see page 4-15) can be used.
