crushdump : dumping physical memory to disk
Make a note of the message displayed on the screen
and contact your Sony service representative. When an
error of this type occurs, the Digital Media
Workstation automatically generate a memory dump to
a given directory.
You may be asked to provide the memory dump data
to your Sony service representative. Follow the
instructions of the service representative to copy the
data to floppy disks or other media.
Notes
• A message may appear warning that there is
insufficient virtual memory if you reboot the system
after a STOP error or fatal error. Continue with the
boot process.
• Before copying a memory dump file to floppy disks
or other media, start the event viewer and check that a
Save Dump event has been reported in the system
event log. If it has, you can be sure that the memory
dump has been saved.
Other warning messages may appear if errors occur in
internal devices or peripherals such as disks, the
network, or the printer. Make a note of the message
and contact your Sony service representative.
