To refresh the contents
To refresh the contents by reading in the latest log
sense data, click the Reload button.
To graph log sense data
To display graphs of log sense data, click the Show
Graph button.
Disk Monitoring Service
The Disk Monitoring Service is a resident service
program that starts when Windows starts.
This service periodically reads log data recorded by
the Fibre Channel Interface Board, analyses it, and
issues warnings to the user if necessary.
You can view this log data with the Disk Utility.
The following types of log information are recorded.
Log information types

Board logs
RAID logs
Disk logs
Disk sense logs
Description
Error logs for the Fibre Channel Interface Board
Error logs from each RAID drive
Error logs for each disk
Log sense (SCSI command) data for each disk
The illustration below shows an example Disk
Monitoring Service message.
The following table shows the Disk Monitoring
Service messages. The content of these messages is
also recorded in the Windows event log.
Fatal error warnings

FC Board:::System FATAL Error Occured (BoardID =

Please Check Error Log for Board.
RAID:::LogicalDrive FATAL Error Occurred (B_ID =
XXXXXXXX, R_ID = XXXXXXXX.
Please Check Error LOG for RAID.
HDD:::HDD FATAL Error Occurred (B_ID = XXXXXXXX,
R_ID = XXXXXXXX, HDD node name = XXXXXXXX.
Please Check Error LOG for HDD.
Description
A fatal error occurred on a Fibre Channel Interface Board,
affecting operation of the system.
A fatal error occurred on a RAID, affecting operation of the
system.
A fatal error occurred on a hard disk, affecting operation of the
system.
