Configuring GALILEOS
Explanation
For the operation of GALILEOS with FaceScan, the following codes must
be entered during the service routine "S017.2" (see also the GALILEOS
Service Manual):
● GALILEOS Comfort and GALILEOS Compact: "0500"
● GALILEOS Comfort
PLUS
: "0C00"

Connection to the network

Configuration
7.2.1.1
Explanation
The face scan unit must firstly be configured before it can be connected
to the practice network.
Later configuration changes can generally be made through the network.
In so doing, the Facescan's integrated web dialog is called up.
7.2.1.2
Configuration options
Factory setting
● IP address (changeable)
Default setting: 192.168.16.240
● Subnet mask
Default setting: 255.255.255.0
● DHCP (can be switched on and off)
Default setting: DHCP off
Types of configuration
There are two types of configuration for the FaceScan:
● Type 1: Configuration using the Facescan USB stick [ → 35]
IMPORTANT! The FaceScan USB stick always stays with the
customer!
● Type 2: Configuration over a network cable (peer-to-peer) [ → 37]
IMPORTANT
Adjust the settings!
The network configuration of the Facescan unit must be configured
appropriately to the practice network and to the GALILEOS unit used.
➢ If this is not the case, check the network configuration is suitable for
the practice network and for the GALILEOS unit used.
