Thickness of new slide block and diameter of
new roller as illustrated by different numbers
in the Figure:

Check thickness of each slide block and adjust
the gap between slide block and boom by
adding or decreasing gaskets until the gap is
1mm-1.5mm. The slide block shall be
replaced immediately when its wear is greater
than or equal to 3mm.
4.3 Boom Cleaning Standard
The followings are standards for cleaning the
inside of the main boom when dirty.
1. SINOBOOM recommends its users to
maintain their equipment according to
instructions in SINOBOOM Service
Manual. Regular maintenance and
inspection are critically important to keep
normal operation of the equipment. The
frequency of maintenance shall be
decided according to environment,
application intensity and frequency.
2. Entry of fragments and other impurities
into the main boom may cause permanent
damage of parts and therefore they must
be cleared. The fragments shall be
cleared by users according to the safety
Instructions in SINOBOOM Operation
Manual and Service Manual.
3. To clear the fragments, first try to blow
from the closest vent of the boom with
compressed air. Please operate the
equipment after confirming all fragments
are cleared.
4. If fragments cannot be cleared with
compressed air, please disassemble the
boom
and
clear
according
to
SINOBOOM Service Manual.
4.4 Wireropes
Before everyday use of the equipment:
1. Raise the boom to the position almost
level.
2. Check all parts of the telescopic arm.
3. Check whether the second telescopic arm
moves slowly, if so, it indicates the
wirerope is loose.
Inspection
Note:
the figures are only used as standard
references for replacement of wireropes.
1. Check whether any wireropes are
damaged,
especially
whether
the
wireropes at the valley and next to the
end wire clamp are broken.
Damage of wireropes at the valley between
stranded wires can be always checked by
tensioning the wirerope.
2. Check whether any wireropes are
corroded.
3. Check whether any wireropes are kinked
or misused.
In case of improper handling, installation
or operation, pulling out a loop out of the
loose cable may cause kinking.
4. Check bearing /axis pin of the grooved
sheaves.
5. Check rims of sheaves.
6. Check whether any sheaves have
