Chapter 3 Underframe and Turntable
3.1 Tires and Rims
Tires
Installation of GTBZ26&28J uses solid
pattern tires, which are especially suitable for
low-speed traveling and high load of the
machine. They have low load deformation,
good operation stability and superb puncture
resistance and without the risk of puncture so
that they can guarantee safety performance of
the machine in traveling and in operation.
Solid tires cannot be used for long-time
high-speed running as that will produce too
much heat, speed up wear of tires and reduce
endurance of the solid tires.
Solid tires shall avoid quick turning and
rolling on road shoulders as well as quick
startup and emergency braking and keep away
from pits and other obstacles on the road.
Overhaul of Tires
Check tires every day for the following
damage or wear. Should any of the following
cases occur, take immediate measures to stop
use of the machine and replace the tire or the
tire assembly (including rim).

Tire delaminating, i.e. peripheral crack or
layering between rubbers.

Casting-off: separation between rubber
and steel rim.

Local lumpy peeling on the rubber
surface.

Cracking of rubber along the diameter
direction.

Rubber is worn to the wear line.
Replacement of Tires
SINOBOOM recommends use of tires of the
same size, ply rating and brand as the original
tires to replace the original tires. Please refer
to SINOBOOM parts catalogue for part no. of
certified tires for specific machine model. If
certified tire of SINOBOOM is not used, then
the replacing tire used shall have the following
characteristics:

Ply rating/rated load and dimension are
equivalent to or superior to the original
tire.

Tread ground width is equivalent to or
superior to that of the original tire.

Wheel diameter, width and compensation
dimension are equivalent to those of the
original tire.

The applications are allowed by the tire
manufacturer
(including application
scope, application occasion, maximum
vehicle speed, maximum tire load, etc.)

Due to dimension differences among tires
of different brands, two tires used on an
axle shall be the same brand.
Replacement of Rims
Tires and rims on the machine are all selected
after strict design according to the overall
performance and load stability of the machine.
Therefore, their models and specifications, rim
widths, installation central planes, and
diameters cannot be altered; otherwise, there
will be a severe hazard of machine operating
out of stability.
Installation of Rims
It is critically important that the pre-tightening
torque of rim bolts must meet the
requirements.
Special tire nuts matching the rim bolts
must be used. The nuts must conform to
pre-tightening torque requirements and
