4.2 Boom Structure
Removal of Boom Assembly
1. Park the equipment on a solid and level
ground.
2. Slightly lift up the boom, and support its
tail (close to the end of working fence)
with crane or proper lifting equipment
(with lifting capacity not less than 5t).
3. Remove the oil cylinder axis pins fixing
the luffing oil cylinder piston onto the
boom, and reliably support the oil
cylinder during removal of the oil
cylinder axis pins to prevent injury or
machine damage due to movement of the
oil cylinder.

4. Remove cover plate at the boom head.
5. Mark and remove hydraulic hoses and
cables.
6. Support the boom head with lifting
equipment and remove load borne by the
axis pin.

7. Remove stop pin fixing bolts, stop pins
and axis pins that connect the boom
leveling oil cylinder with the support
arm.
8. Lift the boom away from the turntable
with lifting equipment.
9. Put the boom on a proper support.
Removal of Power Chain System

1. Disconnect hydraulic hoses and cables
connected with the work platform.
2. Remove bolts fixing the power chain
conduit with the basic arm, the first
telescopic arm and the second telescopic
arm connecting bracket.
3. Remove mounting bolts of fixing bracket
of power chain guide groove.
4. Lift the power chain system away from
the boom as a whole with lifting
equipment.
5. Put the power chain system on a proper
support.
Removal of Work Platform
1. Disconnect hydraulic hoses and cables of
work platform and boom.
2. Support the platform with lifting
equipment.
3. Remove stop pins and fixing bolts as
illustrated in no. 1.
