Removal of rotary support
1. Operate panel on the ground and operate
the basic arm until it contacts the top
rubber hose of the central joint.
Do not work under the boom if boom safety
jack is not used or adequate sling support is
not provided above.
2. Install the supporting sling onto the boom,
tension the sling and provide the boom
with bearing or partition if possible.
After disconnection of a hydraulic pipe,
immediately seal up the hydraulic pipe and
its
opening to prevent entry of
contaminants into the system.
3. Mark hydraulic pipes on the top of the
rotary joint and disconnect their
connections. Collect residual hydraulic
fluid with proper containers and seal up
the hydraulic pipes and their openings
immediately.
4. Remove the bolts fixing that rotary joint
on the turntable inside the turntable.
5. Install proper jacking equipment onto the
equipment.
6. Draw a line at the bottom of the rotary
support inner race and the turntable with
a proper tool for alignment with the
rotary
support during installation.
Remove bolts and washers connecting
the turntable to the rotary support inner
race. Do not use these bolts any longer.
7. Use lifting equipment to lift the entire
turntable assembly from the rotary
support. Make sure the turntable, the
rotary support or the part installed on the
frame is not damaged.
Note: the entire turntable assembly is around
8000kg.
8. Carefully put the turntable on a bracket
that provides proper support.
9. Draw a line on the rotary support outer
race and the frame with a proper tool for
alignment during installation. Remove
bolts and washers connecting the
underframe to the rotary support outer
race and do not use the bolts any longer.
Remove the support from the frame with
proper lifting equipment and then move
the rotary support to a clean work area
that is properly supported.
Note: the rotary support is around 232kg.
Installation of Rotary Support
Lift the rotary support onto mounting surface
of the underframe with traveling crane or
proper lifting equipment and make sure the
line on the bearing outer race aligns with that
on the frame. To use a new rotary support as
shown in Figure 3-11, align with the position
of the rotary support; soft belt zone shall be
perpendicular to the direction of the boom.
Soft belt zone on the inner race shall be
symmetrical with that on the outer race by the
rotary support center.
