steering oil cylinders.
While the machine travels in a straight line,
traveling paths of its left and right wheels will
overlap with traveling paths of rear wheels. If
the machine cannot travel in line in operation,
please check and maintain following
conditions:
Whether steering actions of left and right
steering oil cylinders are coordinated. Refer to
the hydraulic section for adjustment and
maintenance.
Check and properly adjust length of the
steering connecting rod. To be specific, loose
two nuts on the connecting rod, turn the
connecting rod, screw out the connector by a
proper distance and then retighten the nuts.
The steering mechanism after proper
adjustment can ensure traveling path of front
wheels is the same as that of rear wheels. In
this case, the machine can travel in line.
3.7 Floating Balance Device (Floating
Configuration)

The entire floating balance device is composed
in a way that front outriggers are connected to
the frame with axis pins to ensure four wheels
are down to the ground even when the
equipment is running on uneven roads. The
front outriggers use two floating oil cylinders
that are installed between the frame and the
front outriggers. The floating oil cylinders
allow the front outriggers to be balanced when
the main boom is located at the transportation
position and performing driving operation.
When no drive command is sent or the main
boom is located at a position other than the
transportation position, the floating oil
cylinders will lock positions of the front
outriggers. Locking status of the oil cylinders is
released when locking valves on the oil
cylinders are exerted with guiding pressure and
locking status is recovered after the guiding
pressure stops. The guiding pressure is derived
from braking pressure that can be controlled in a
manner the solenoid coil installed on the frame
operates NC locking valve. Fault of the floating
balance system will cause the control system
forbids lifting and outstretching functions when
the main boom is located at the transportation
position or the control system forbids
driving/steering, lifting and outstretching
functions while the main boom is located at a
position other than the transportation position.
Exhaust of floating oil cylinder
Before starting to vent, please make sure the
platform is at the retraction status and the
main boom is at the center above the rear
outrigger. Prepare a 120mm high sleeper with
bevel.
1. Unscrew the end cap above the left
floating balance valve till oil flows out.
2. Drive the left front wheel of the vehicle
on the sleeper along the bevel. During
this process, mixture of hydraulic oil and
air shall flow out from the unscrewed end
cap.
3. Tighten the end cap after the left wheel of
the vehicle is fully at 120mm.
