Removal of Brake

1. Remove vent plug (1), screw (2) and

standard spring washer (3).

2. Remove motor seat (4) and O-ring (5).
3. Remove spring (6), piston (7), O-ring (8),

retainer ring (9), O-ring (10) and retainer
ring (11) in turn.

4. Remove outside friction disc (12) and

inside friction disc (13)

5. Remove adjusting pad (14), base plate

(15), and standard retainer ring for hole
(16) in order.

6. Remove plug screw (17) and compound

gasket (18).

Removal of First Stage Planet Gear Set
Assembly

1. Remove standard retainer rings for shaft

(1) of 3 first stage planet gears (3) and
remove bearing (2) and first stage planet
gears (3) from the first stage planet
carrier (5).

2. Separate bearing (2) from first stage

planet gear (3).

3. Remove retainer ring for shaft (4) and

separate first stage planet carrier (5) and
second stage sun gear (6).

Gear Set Assembly

1. Standard retainer ring for shaft 2. Bearing 3.
First stage planet gear 4. Retainer ring for
shaft 5. First stage planet carrier 6. Second
stage sun gear

Removal of Second Stage Planet Gear Set
Assembly

1. Take retainer ring for shaft (1) out of the

second stage planet carrier (6) groove
with pliers and separate bearing (2) and
second stage planet gear (3) from the
second stage planet carrier (6).

2. Separate bearing (2) and second stage

planet gear (3) as necessary.

3. Remove retainer ring for shaft (4) and

base plate (5) and separate second stage
planet carrier (6) and bearing (7) from
bearing seat (12).

4. Remove retainer ring for shaft (8) from

the output spline shaft (14).

5. Use the bearing seat (12) as a support and

press the spline shaft (14) to make it
separate from bearing seat (12).

6. Take out retainer ring for hole (10),

spacer bush (9), bearing (11) and oil seal
(13) from the bearing seat (12).
