2.5 Repair guidance for pin roll
and composite bearing
1. Connecting pins shall be removed and
checked in case of any of following
situations:
a) The joint excessively tilts.
b) Noise is produced from the joint
position in operation.
2. The compound bearing shall be replaced
in case of any of following situations:
a) Fiber on the surface of bushing is
worn or separated.
b) Bearing bush seat is ruptured or
damaged.
c) Bearing has deflected or rotated into
the bearing seat.
d) Chips are included into the liner
surface.
3. In the event of any of the following
situations, the pin roll shall be replaced
(the pin roll shall be cleaned correctly
before checking):
a) The bearing area is worn.
b) Surface of the pin roll has scaling,
peeling, scratch or bruise.
c) The pin roll in the bearing area gets
rusty.
4. Reinstall connecting pins and compound
bearing.
a) Blow off contaminants and scraps
on the bearing seat. No foreign
matter is allowed on bearing and
bearing seat.
b) The bearing and pin roll shall be
cleaned by the detergent to remove
all lubricating grease and oil. The
compound bearing uses dry joint
and thus doesn’t require lubrication.
c) During installation and operation,
the pin roll shall be checked to
ensure it is free from burr, breach or
bruise which may damage the
bearing.
2.6 Welding on Sinoboom
equipment
Note:
the instruction is applicable to repair or
adjustment of the machine as well as welding
of external structures or parts on the machine.
The following operations shall be performed
during welding on SINOBOOM equipment
Disconnect the battery.
Disconnect connection of the torque pin
(if equipped).
Put the welding structure onto the ground
only.
Please do not perform the following
operations during welding on SINOBOOM
equipment
Weld in any area other than the
underframe when the underframe is
grounded.
Weld in any area other than the turntable
when the turntable is grounded.
Weld in any area other than the
platform/bracket
when
the
platform/bracket is grounded.
Weld in any area other than the specific
local part of main boom when the
specific main boom is locally grounded.
Place the pin roll, anti-abrasion pad, wire
rope, bearing, gear, seal, valve, electrical
wiring or hose to the grounding location
and between welding areas.
Violation of the above requirements may
cause damage to parts (for instance:
electronic
module,
balance
bearing,
collecting ring, steel wire rope of main
boom, etc.)
