1: What is standard size...?
●
A3, B4, A4, A4R and A5 are standard sizes. If the original is one of these sizes, the size is automatically
detected.
●
When setting non-standard size originals (including extra sizes) check that the original size that you
have selected is suitable for your original. If the original size that you have selected is smaller than
the size of your original, part of the original is cut off. Use the ORIGINAL SIZE ENTER key to select
a larger size, or set the ROTATE TX SETTING user program to "OFF". (Sometimes when setting
non-standard size originals, the original size indicator does not light up).
Setting Originals
Using the SPF
1
Confirm that there are no originals on the original table,
and gently close the document feeder cover.
2
Adjust the original guides to the width of your originals.
3
Stack the pages of the original, and place them face up
in the document feeder area.
●
Make sure to push the original as far into the feeder as it will go.
●
Do not set more pages in the feeder than is indicated by the line (30
sheets maximum).
●
If rotation function is set with a user program, A4 size
originals will be rotated to A4R size and faxed. (See
page Appendix-18)
●
Do not set pages that are the same width, but different
length, otherwise misfeeds can occur.
4
Confirm the original size.
●
If your original is a standard size (*1), the indicator for that size lights
up.
●
If your original is a non-standard size, press the ORIGINAL SIZE
ENTER key to select the closest size. The indicator for the size you
chose lights up and the machine uses that size for your original.
