ENTERING AUTO DIALLING INFORMATION

Press the number "1" or "2" key to set chain dialling.
For normal number entry, select "2 = CANCEL."

If you press the "1" key and select "1 = SET" chain dial entry begins,
and you return to step 3. For more information about chain dialling,
see page 3-42.

Select the default transmission speed using keys 1
through 4.

2: 14400bps
3: 9600bps
4: 4800bps

Instead of choosing a number, you can use the left arrow key (
) or
right arrow key (
) and press the ENTER key to select the
transmission speed.
For international dialling, if you find that line noise
necessitates a slower transmission speed, set the
appropriate transmission speed. If you are not sure if a
slower speed is required, set the speed normally.
After selecting the speed, the following message is displayed.

1 through 4.

Sometimes when faxing internationally, line noise can
cause the transmission to stop momentarily. To reduce
these delays, choose the appropriate international
transmission mode.

If you frequently encounter errors when faxing
inter nationally, tr y each of the international
transmission modes 1 through 3, and choose the best
mode for your line conditions.
After you have finished entering the rapid dialling information, you return to step
3. To enter more rapid dialling information, continue with steps 4 through 10.
