Installing the power unit (tiller 
handle model)

Make sure to install the shift rod and shift link
onto the bottom cowling before installing the
power unit. See “Shift link and shift rod” (9-
11).

Do not reuse a gasket, always replace it
with a new one.

1.

Install the power unit. See steps 1–7 in
“Installing the power unit (remote control
model)” (7-17).

2.

Connect the PTT switch coupler. (PTT
model) See step 8 in “Installing the
power unit (remote control model)” (7-
17).

3.

Connect the engine shut-off switch
ground lead

Connect the engine shut-off switch con-
nector

Connect the alert indicator coupler

Connect the engine start button connec-
